“I want to travel to Alaska” is one of the most common words I hear from travelers and vacationers. This huge country with its vast landscape, glaciers, vast forests and spectacular wildlife appeals to so many people. There are so many amazing things that I want to share with you about this place. I am sure, your mind will be blown by what you find when you get there.

Traveling to Alaska is indeed an unforgettable experience for many. It is said that once a person has been to this place, he/she will never want to go back to any other place. That’s why even if you are the type of person who is used to cities, Alaska offers so much to so many people. You can enjoy a great vacation in the woods, hike in a national forest or just take a boat ride to many other locations. When thinking about all of the places to visit, I want to mention two that must be on a traveler’s list. One of them is Fairbanks, the largest city in Alaska. It is also the gateway to the North Pacific and the largest city in the northern region of the country. Even though Fairbanks is located on the sea, it is close to both the Pacific and the Arctic Oceans, making it a great place to explore during a vacation.

Another great idea for a vacation spot is Anchorage. Situated on the Kenai Peninsula, this city offers a lot of natural beauty and a historic area that date back to the late 1800s. There are many things you can do in the downtown area, and some of the best restaurants and shopping malls are located here. Plus, if you plan to do a little fishing, there are a number of great places for that as well.

Yet another popular destination is Skagway, a resort town on the Kvichak River. Skagway offers many outdoor activities, such as kayaking and canoeing, but it also has a beautiful resort on its downtown beach. If you like to spend your days walking around, stopping by Native American settlements, and taking part in local culture, then this town is definitely a great place to be. And if you want to experience something truly unique, then you should definitely consider skydiving!

As you can see, there are many different possibilities when you want to travel to Alaska. You have to make sure that you plan your trip so that you can see all of the places you want to. Of course, if money is an issue, don’t worry. There are still plenty of great places to stay in Alaska for cheap. And, even if you have to spend a bit more on your lodging, you will definitely have a wonderful time while you’re here.
